Campaign Against Trafficking In Person (TIP)

‘SEVA’ has been pro-actively working on combating human trafficking and promoting safe migration for the past 17 years at Indo-Nepal border areas and has been initiating and organizing training programs/ seminars & workshops for the SSB officials and police department on regular basis on different issues like human trafficking, child protection, eradicating gender discrimination etc.

MSS conducted and special expert training on cross border and interstate human trafficking, causes, prevention and legal framework for SSB officials and trainees at SSB camp Gorakhpur on 20th February 2019 to 250 trainees.

MSS is actively operational on a regular basis at the Indo – Nepal corridor at Sonauli, Maharajganj through its established life guard center jointly with SSB since the point of time when SSB was deployed at Indo- Nepal Border till present day the life guard center primary objective is to counsel and aware the migrants regarding migrant rights and prevention of human trafficking for migrants migrating through the transit point. MSS as a regular part of its intervention is operating a life guard/counselling center at the most important Indo – Nepal transit point which caters migration of approximately 1000- 2000 people from Nepal to India as Sonauli is one of the most biggest transit points out of the all transit points on Indo – Nepal.

  • Women/child friendly border management through Awareness and joint campaigns with Police department, JJ Board, GRP, SSB, Media, Panchayat functionaries and all concerned departments
  • Expanding livelihood opportunities
  • Establishing(CVGs) community vigilance groups among the community as social structures to spread awareness among community and linking with Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU)
