A National Commitment to a Child Marriage Free India
Today, December 4, 2025, the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, formally launched the 100-Day Intensive Awareness Campaign for a Child Marriage Free Bharat in New Delhi. The event took place in New Delhi and marks the one-year anniversary of the broader "Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat" campaign.
We are proud to share that Executive Director Puru Mayank Tripathi, along with the MSS team, attended the event and reaffirmed our commitment to supporting national efforts aimed at protecting children’s rights and ensuring a safe, empowered, and child-marriage-free future for all.
Key Highlights of the Event Objective:
To initiate a 100-day nationwide awareness drive to mobilize communities, institutions, and stakeholders against child marriage.
Dignitaries Present: The Union Minister and Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Child Marriage Prohibition Officers from across the country, and representatives from civil society organizations.
Program Features: A national pledge, a short film showcasing inspiring change stories, and testimonies from frontline workers. The event was also broadcast live online for wider participation.
National Goal: To achieve a Child Marriage Free India by 2030 through coordinated efforts at every level.
