Strengthening Border Protection Through Anti-Trafficking Training with SSB
Manav Seva Sansthan (MSS) is working in close collaboration with Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) along the Indo–Nepal border corridor to prevent human trafficking and safeguard vulnerable individuals. As part of this ongoing partnership, MSS continues to enhance the capacity of border personnel by providing specialized training on victim protection and human rights–based approaches.
On 22nd September 2025, MSS conducted an intensive training session for 50 personnel of the 50th Battalion, SSB Balrampur (U.P.).
The session focused on key areas essential for frontline intervention:
Understanding the trafficking–migration nexus
Promoting gender equity in border operations
Strengthening victims’ rights and protection mechanisms
This joint effort equips SSB personnel with the knowledge and sensitivity required to identify trafficking indicators, respond effectively, and ensure humane treatment of survivors. By integrating human rights into border security practices, MSS and SSB are working together to build safer communities and prevent exploitation across the Indo–Nepal border.
